We have a talk on Monday evening being given by ex-Chairman John Craythorne, those of you who have heard previous talks by John will know that he will have researched his subject extensively. John taught me most of what I know about astronomy so I am looking forward to hearing his talk entitled “Charting the Heavens – a brief history of astronomy from Stone Age to Space Age” – Looking at mankind’s needs and successes in observing and measuring the night sky from caveman to the space age, and somewhere in it a link to KLADAS!
As ever doors open at 7,00pm, tea and biscuits 7.15pm and talk starts at 7.30pm.
