Choosing a telescope
Newcomers to the Society do not have to own a telescope or even a pair of binoculars - though binoculars are ideal for getting started with astronomical observations. Certainly, before incurring any expense, it is advisable to discuss your needs with other members of the Society.
Elsewhere on this site there are lists of books and equipment available on loan from the Society.
Outreach
"Do you need some help with astronomy in your school, scout group or society?
To further our aim to promote astronomy we offer outreach talks and practical experiences to all groups in the West Norfolk area.
We are happy to visit your location often bringing telescopes to give your pupils, scouts, members the chance to see first hand the wonders of the night sky.
